NeuroBalance Diagnostics
Independent Objective Neuro Functional Testing for Legal and Disability Cases
Objective Neuro Functional Testing for PI, Workers’ Compensation, and Disability Cases
NeuroBalance Diagnostics provides independent, objective testing to assess how an injury has impacted brain and balance function. Our evaluations are designed to supply measurable data that supports clinical findings in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and disability cases.
Traditional imaging such as MRI and CT scans are valuable for identifying structural damage. However, many individuals continue to experience disabling symptoms despite normal imaging results. In these cases, functional impairment is often present even when anatomy appears intact.
NeuroBalance Diagnostics focuses on measuring neurological function rather than relying on subjective symptom reports alone.
Independent and Objective Evaluations
All NeuroBalance Diagnostics evaluations are performed as non treating, independent assessments. The goal is not to advocate for either side, but to objectively document function, impairment, and neurological efficiency using standardized testing procedures.
This approach allows findings to be used confidently by attorneys, insurers, and medical professionals when determining causation, severity, and functional impact.
Diagnostic Testing Services
Video Nystagmography and Eye Movement Analysis
A comprehensive battery of eye movement tests is performed to evaluate visual and vestibular processing. These tests assess gaze stability, tracking accuracy, motion sensitivity, and vestibulo ocular reflex performance.
Abnormal eye movement patterns are well documented markers of neurological dysfunction and are commonly associated with head trauma, vestibular injury, and central nervous system stress.
Findings are quantified and interpreted in relation to functional impairment.
Postural Control and Balance Testing
Balance function is objectively measured under multiple sensory conditions to assess how effectively the brain integrates visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive input.
Deficits in postural control can significantly impact work capacity, safety, endurance, and daily functioning. Objective balance data provides measurable evidence of impairment that is often not captured by traditional exams.
Timing, Coordination, and Cognitive Efficiency Testing
Neurological timing and coordination are assessed through standardized tapping and sequencing tasks. These tests evaluate cerebellar and cortical processing efficiency and are frequently affected following traumatic injury or neurological stress.
When included, cognitive efficiency testing evaluates working memory, attention, and processing speed under controlled conditions.
Conditions Commonly Evaluated
NeuroBalance Diagnostics evaluations are commonly utilized in cases involving:
•Concussion and post concussion syndrome
• Dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders
• Traumatic brain injury
• Neurological impairment without abnormal MRI or CT findings
• Return to work or return to duty determinations
• Disability and functional capacity documentation
When to Use NeuroBalance Diagnostics
NeuroBalance Diagnostics testing is most appropriate when functional impairment is suspected but not clearly documented through traditional imaging or standard examinations.
Common scenarios include:
•Ongoing symptoms despite normal MRI or CT findings
• Discrepancy between subjective complaints and objective medical records
• Cases involving dizziness, balance instability, or visual disturbances
• Post concussion or mild traumatic brain injury claims
• Return to work or return to duty decision making
• Cases where an IME or opposing opinion disputes functional limitations
• Situations where early objective data may help determine case viability
Our testing provides measurable neurological data that can help clarify whether functional impairment is present and to what degree.
What Attorneys and Case Managers Receive
Each evaluation includes:
•Objective test data collected under standardized conditions
• Clear clinical interpretation of findings
• Severity grading when appropriate
• A comprehensive written report suitable for legal and medical review
• Findings that can be referenced in records review, case planning, or testimony
Reports are designed to be concise, defensible, and easy to interpret without requiring advanced neurological training.
Why NeuroBalance Diagnostics
Subjective complaints alone are often insufficient in contested cases. Objective data provides clarity.
NeuroBalance Diagnostics bridges the gap between normal imaging and real world dysfunction by measuring how the nervous system is actually performing. This allows decision makers to move beyond speculation and base conclusions on measurable neurological function.
